  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

11.5.30 Update #33 - High memory usage on 2 servers

dicko_md

Basic Pleskian
Hi

I have 2 plesk servers that until the other day were running smoothly with a load not often more than between 0 and 1....... Now they are both going through the roof at over 2 or 300 %.

Apache memory usage is over 20% at the moment and has been over 25% a hell of a lot too.

Ive rebooted server and it started straight away again.

Any ideas as its dragging the speed of all the other sites to a stand still?

Is there a way of drilling down to see if or which site is causing this or is it a bug in the update ?

Thanks Martyn

Hello,

I will suggest you please monitor your server load through top and ps aufx command. With this command you can easily find out process which is using high memory on your server

Hi

I just found this when trying to restart apache/httpd

Warning: DocumentRoot [/var/www/vhosts/******.co.uk/httpdocs] does not exist

could this be why apache is running high on one of the servers ?

The images below are off my server. The apache memory has now gone down from over 25% to 3% after a restart but Ive stopped and started services but nothing can fix the cpu.

Any Ideas ?

I have moved from WHM/CPanel and they had a great tool for this called process manager and you could see what and who was hogging it all. Is there anything in Plesk as Health Monitor just seems show images like Ive attached and nothing to drill down etc

The gap about 2am was from me rebooting the server when the stopping and restarting of services failed

Thanks

Martyn
