  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved 403 forbidden on .htaccess with FileManager on 18.0.31/Ubuntu 20.04/LSWS

Hotte

New Pleskian
I Used Plesk Migrator to go from debian 9 / Plesk 17.x to Ubunut 20.04 / Plesk 18.0.31 + LSWS
Except firewall / fail2ban it seem to work nice.

But I can not open / edit .htaccess in File Manager due to 403.
I already checkt chown / chmod and i can overwrite the file with a new one!
Changed from prior rw-r-r to rwx-rwx-rwx
I Tryed as admin and website user.
I also deleted the file and created a new one with file manager getting the same problem.

Webserver is working and using this .htaccess

I can't find any.. can u tell me where to look at ?

nothing in Opening of Plesk File Manager is logged to the file /var/log/plesk/httpsd_access_log
or /var/log/plesk/sw-cp-server/access.log | error.log

While writing I found out:
I get the 403 from user-webserver (in this case LSWS) so i found out that "I" was not using Port 8443 instead I was connected to https://IP (443)
Due to Migration I'm not yet using hostname... (I wan't to replace the old server in place)
So I was kind of talking to plesk via "User" - Webserver not via Plesk-Webserver... I thougth Plesk is only reachable via builtin / standalone webserver.

It was only heppening with hidden files like .hta/.htp...

So this is solved now, thank you for trying to help!
