• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Access plesk 11.0 over a subdomain rather than port 8443

Ashwani_Bhat

New Pleskian
I need to access plesk 11.0 over a subdomain at port 80 rather than port 8443 as my office firewall blocks the port 8443.

I tried below KB article
http://kb.sp.parallels.com/en/138

but its not working.

an eg: I would like to access plesk panel @ portal.example.com rather than @ example.com/8443or8880
I have ample of spare ip's to use it

I need the Plesk Panel interface to be accessible at the standard 443 SSL port in addition to default port 8443

There is a KB http://kb.odin.com/en/1694 but its applicable to Plesk 8.x for Linux/Unix only

It tells that the only way is to allow your clients to access Panel at standard the SSL address, https://server.domain.tld, connecting to port 443 instead of 8443.

I wanted to do the same for plesk 11.09, which i have on my server

What exactly "not working" with this KB article? http://kb.odin.com/en/138
Not sure that you can use additional port (maybe it is possible but it is required special complex reconfiguration (you can try to do it at least)) but you can change default port 8443.
