  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Add MIME-Type

New Pleskian
Hi,

if i try to open (for example) "mydomain.de/video.mp4" there is the following message:
"404 – file not found"
If i rename the same file to "mydomain.de/video.pdf" i can open the same file.

My question:
how do i add a MIME-Type (like .3gp or .mp4) in "Plesk Panel 9.0.1 for Microsoft Windows" step by step?
Everywhere i read "Select the MIME Types tab in the virtual directory" – but there isn't such a tab ...

Thank you for any help or hint,

Tobias

1. Open the IIS Microsoft Management Console (MMC), right-click the local computer name, and then click Properties.
2. Click MIME Types.
3. Click New.
4. In the Extension box, type the file name extension that you want.
5. In the MIME Type box, type application/octet-stream.
6. Apply the new settings. Note that you must restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service or wait for the worker process to recycle for the changes to take effect.

MIME types

Is this the same in version 8.6? I can't seem to find it. Thanks!
