  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Add Reverse DNS for SMTP Banner

Dani Junsui

New Pleskian
Hi, I have have read for 3 hours a lot of issues about this. But no of them gives me a answer...

All my mails goes directly to tthe GMAIL Spam folder cause this.

So a simply question, how can I fix "DNS does not match SMTP Banner" for a Domain with dedicated IP addres.
The IP has a correct PTR on provider side (mail.domain.com)

Thanks

There are three options,

Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings

Send from domain IP addresses
Send from domain IP addresses and use domain names in SMTP greeting
Send from the specified IP addresses

I set the second option, but still same issue:

We've always had to set the reverse for the IP in the server panel (eg. OVH / Hetzner) rather than the Plesk panel. It would need to be set where you obtained the IP for the domain and server.
