  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Adding an alias folder to a vhost

OlivierV

New Pleskian
Hello,

I have a website on Plesk using PHP 5.5.32 with NGINX.
I have on the additional rules of NGINX all my rewrites rules needed for my website.
I want to add an alias folder to this web site /test/ pointing to /var/www/vhots/test/ with php handler.
I added this before rewrites rules :

location /test/ {
alias /var/www/vhosts/test/;
}

I have always "File not found" when browsing to http:// mywebsite.com/test/index.php
Browsing to http:// mywebsite.com/ is working.

Can someone help me ?

Thank you

Hi OlivierV,

pls. note, that this folder is OUTSIDE of the "open_basedir". You should add the path to your domain - specific PHP - settings and don't forget to set the very same permissions as
Code:
psacln:DOMAIN-SYSTEM-USER
In addition, pls. don't forget to inspect your domain - specific log - files ( => /var/www/vhosts/system/(subdomain)YOUR-DOMAIN.COM/logs ) and the corresponding PHP - log, located at "/var/log", to investigate possible logged issues/errors/problems and their root causes. :)
