  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Adding SSL certificat to webmail subdomain

LittleMay

New Pleskian
Hello,

I have installed the default webmail and changed it to roundcube. Its working all fine.

But I would like to add the SSL certificat I have ordered for:

www.webmail.webpage.com
webmail.webpage.com

I have inserted the SSL in Tools & Settings -> Security -> SSL Certificates.

For websites and subdomaines, SSL can be linked in the "Websites & Domains" tab, under each website.

The problem is that the webmail subdomain isn't represented under "Websites & Domains" Like the ones I have added.

Where can I add the SSL certificat to my webmail subdomain, webmail.webpage.com ?

Thank you.

You can't. Plesk's webmail vhost is 1 vhost container that contains a list of ServerAliases for all domains that use that webmail service. It does not create seperate containers for each SSL-enabled domain.

If you want to achieve this you will have to create a new subdomain for webmail.webpage.com, add the SSL certificate there and then manually install roundcube OR set the DocumentRoot to Plesk's roundcube installation (by means of creating a vhost.conf file).

Okay, actually I thought it could be done by editing the roundcube.conf in the apache settings (vconf), but when i replace the certificate link Apache couldn't start.

Regarding to the imap and pop3 certificate, i replaced the imap-ssl.pem and pop3-ssl.pem in the /etc/courier-imap/ folder and the postfix_default.pem. It seemed to work, but after 1 day the e-mail clients (Like thunderbird) is running on the old Plesk Parellels certificate again. :-(

I checked if the configurationen should be overwritten by plesk, but it isn't. Weird.
