Adding wildcard virtual host?

Hello, I'm currently trying to add a wildcard sub domain to an existing domain on my server. I can't get it to work either by editing the httpd.conf or the vhosts.conf (placed in the domain.com/conf folder)

Which file do I have to edit to get that to work?

The vhost I'm adding:
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName *.domain.com
DocumentRoot /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/testapp/public
</VirtualHost>

All I get is the "Default Parallels Plesk Panel Page"

Thanks!
Used this because I have an applications which gives my users their own subdomain.

ServerName app.timely.no
ServerAlias *.timely.no
DocumentRoot /var/www/vhosts/timely.no/httpdocs/testapp/public
