• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question An mail server alongside Plesk Web Admin SE?

Moosewala

New Pleskian
Is it possible to run a mail server solution like iRedMail alongside Plesk?

My issue is I cannot afford extra cost of control panel and Plesk Web Admin SE have several limitations which i am fine with but only one limitation that bothers me is only 3 mail accounts can be created https://mobdro.bio/ https://kodi.bio/.

I tried free control panels like webmin, CWP, VestaCP but faced several issues with https not working or some DNS issues like domain loading default apache directory instead of vhost directory while plesk is working fine till now only problem is mail accounts limitations.

If anyone can guide or help it'll be great.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe there is a reason that Plesk wants to get paid for providing an extremely well working solution??? Could it be that it needs some investment to create a truly well functioning control panel software?

It is not advised to run a second control panel system on the same machine like Plesk, because either one will break the other's mail configuration settings. Changes that one system does will not be reflected in the other, changes of the other system will be overwritten by the first.
