Apache Server multiple instances

R

RamS

Guest
I have a Plesk Dedicated Server on Linux and have some clients. The problem I have is that when I give them the shell access to Server; they can do a "cd " and can see all domains of other clients. I don't want any client to see other clients domains and also the other issue is that I want each client to have their own instance of Apache so that they can start and stop their server when ever they want. So my questions are

1) How do I create multiple instances of Apache using Plesk
2) How do I restrict server shell access to clients so that they don't see other client's domains

Appreciate your help in advance.

thank you

Ram,

You cannot have multiple instances of Apache and allow your clients to start/stop it.

You need to look at Virtualisation for that (e.g. Virtuozzo).
