• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Apache + Varnish + Nginx + HTTPS termination

apaunovski

Basic Pleskian
OK, so I installed Varnish in a Docker container and I would like to know how do I set it up to work for port 443 / SSL traffic, as Varnish can natively handle only non-encrypted traffic...

I see I need an https terminator, and I couldn't find anywhere how to do the proper redirection / termination with Apache + (Varnish) + Nginx, as Plesk is doing.

Please help.

Hi apaunovski,

You must have a layer above that which applies the SSL certificate on the site. Normally it is done with a load balancer

Also, the big question is this:

Will this be more effective than LiteSpeed with LSCache?

What will be better for my sites?
