• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved apt update fails to get autoinstall.plesk.com/ubuntu/LETSENCRYPT

SiegbertG

Basic Pleskian
Hello,

after updating Plesk 12.5 to ONYX I get the following error when I try to update Linux:

Linux-Version-Information:
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=trusty
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS"
NAME="Ubuntu"
VERSION="14.04.5 LTS, Trusty Tahr"

What is wrong there?

When I enter http://autoinstall.plesk.com/ubuntu/LETSENCRYPT_0.0.2/dists/trusty/all/binary-amd64/Packages in a browser, there are some package-informations like this:
Package: plesk-py27-dev
Priority: extra
Installed-Size: 29698
Maintainer: Plesk <info@plesk.com>
Architecture: amd64
Source: plesk-py27
Version: 2.7.10-ubuntu14.04.16051816

They have ubuntu14.04 in the Version, so it seems to be OK -- or not??

Regards,
Siegbert

Most likely autoinstall.plesk.com on your server points to a partial mirror instead of the official download site. To use the official download site make sure /etc/hosts doesn't have autoinstall.plesk.com entry and /etc/resolv.conf uses public DNS servers (e.g. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to use Google DNS). Then re-run apt-get update.
