• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

ASP / ODBC Problem

Ok this is coming from someone who prefers linux, but I have enough clients that wish to host on windows to make it worth my while to get a windows server.

I am trying to transfer my NT clients to my new 2003 server and I am moving over one with an Access db but am having problems with it. I have successfully moved over all files and set up dsn for access db, but when I try to view the asp pages via http://xx.xx.xx.xx/domain_non_ssl/ I am receiving a 500 Internal Server Error. As am unfamilar with this, I am not sure where to begin to troubleshoot this problem. I am only having problems with the access db sites.

Thanks,
Andy

Sounds like a permission problem. Access database require the database file and the directory they are in to be writable by the internet user.

Boy I feel dumb. Ok I went in to set read/write permissions in Plesk and I now get this error message:

filemng util failed: permissions failed: can't get file C:/inetpub/..../httpdocs/db/dsPets.mdb security: Access is denied.

Hi

Nice that you have fixed it , can you also tell on witch way?

Thanks
Eric
