• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Aurora "server" in applications

MiTo

Basic Pleskian
Hi

I just checked out if i find a nice FREE groupware in the Plesk apps....and i found:

"AfterLogic Aurora Collaboration Server"

First of all it seems to be NO server at least no local installed one.
You get asekd to provide an account and one of Aurora's Servers.
Second there is NOTHING free but my time i wasted to find out.
Maximum is a 30 day TRIAL after that you are forced to purchase.

Same with OpenXchange and others.

Will those packages in future releases be correctly flaged as "commercial" or "trial" ?

Would be helpful less confusing and....just fair...

Cheers
MiTo

If you talk only about "AfterLogic Aurora Collaboration Server" - that its packager is "AfterLogic"
https://apscatalog.com/storage/Afte...ed/undefined/undefined/resources/APP-META.xml

<vendor>
<name>AfterLogic Corp.</name>
<homepage>http://www.afterlogic.com/</homepage>
<icon path="images/al_logo.png"/>
</vendor>
<packager>
<name>AfterLogic</name>
<homepage>http://www.afterlogic.com/</homepage>
</packager>

So, please contact their support about correct flag for their application.

Why me ? Plesk provides the package and should check such things before publishing...or not !?
You shouldn't shuffle everything all to customers responsability...just my 2 ct...

https://apscatalog.com is not Plesk resource. We just use it and do not moderate published applications. We publish own applications there, AfterLogic publish own applications there, etc.

Hi MiTo,

You have a valid point, no doubt about it. However, the APS catalog doesn't belong to Plesk anymore, it's owned by Odin, so Odin is responsible for maintaining it and making sure the descriptions make sense. We'd like to keep the catalog clean (even if it means removing a lot of deadwood), but this might be a problem -- Odin is focused on APS 2.0 instead of APS 1.x, so these APS 1.x apps get next to no attention. With that being said, we are currently investigating our options. Hope this clarifies the situation.

Hope this clarifies the situation.

Of course it does. I didn't know that Plesk and Odin are different companies, i thought that was just an internal name change.
Thx for the statement...as i guess i might be not the only one who got bothered with this...
