• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Backup fails to be stored when "Use FTPS" is checked

Kimon Nouskalis

New Pleskian
My server's backup fails to be stored in my remote FTP storage when the "Use FTPS" is checked.

All ftp connections going fine between plesk and remote ftp server.
While the backup is started always sends the first 16KB (a 16KB file named backup_YYMMDDHHMM.tar is created in remote FTP storage) and stops with the message:

In case of unchecking the "Use FTPS" option, the backup is stored correctly in remote FTP storage with the rest settings untouched.

My plesk/onyx server default certificate is a wildcard certificate (*.mydomain.com), also the ftp storage (on another server) has the same certificate as it is ftp.mydomain.com.

Do you believe that the same wildcard certificates situation, might be the cause of the ftps problem?

Any other clue/hint ?

I'm having this with Onyx 17.0.17 and CentOS 6.8 as well.
Turning off "Use FTPS" works around it, but..."
