backup manager runs continiously :(

I updated my server to a new install of Fedora 8 and installed Plesk 8.4

It went perfectly loaded the backup and all is running.

However I noticed that I scheduled a backup at 5 am as usual, and this morning found some 14 backups and its still going I had to disable backups.

This week I upgraded the fedora 7 to Plesk 8.4 and did not have this issue.

So I have found a bug with Fedora 8 install and Plesk 8.4

What I also dont understand I have a 7 backups to keep set, so why is this also being ignored.

Also no error emails.

Hi, i also have Fedora 8, with Plesk 8.3.0
The FTP Backup runs non-stop until my FTP-Space is overloaded.

Does anyone have a solution for that problem?

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/backup_sign generate
then check again

Have you got email verification set for the scheduled backups? If not set it to on as that will contain diagnostic info as to why.

Also try running a backup from shell and see the error messages is the best way.

Got the same problem on Ubuntu 7.10 with Plesk 8.4 (and the previous version).
There are no error messages, it simply keeps creating backups until the remote FTP server is full.

- no error messages via mail
- local backup working without a problem
- ftp backup runs continously
- /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/backup_sign generate does not help
