I try to configure my backup. It seems to run, but I get an "warning" Message and don't understand it.

During backup I get errors stating problems with templates.
All of my backups are in the failed state .... what needs to be done to fix this?

All of my backups are in the failed state .... what needs to be done to fix this?
 
I may guess that reason of failed backups is
<message code="InformationalException" severity="error">Unable to dump action log rotation</message>
Please, check you Action log rotation settings (Settings -> Action log settings -> Store records in the database) and if
it has "do not remove records" value try to change it to other value and make backup again.

is not critical it means that you have some deprecated values in TmplData table and these values was excluded from backup. You may ignore this message or manually remove corresponding rows.

I did have it set to "do not remove records"--
