  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Backups - limit Bandwith of Backups?!

futureweb

Regular Pleskian
Hey there,
we got a Client on one of our Obsidian Servers which got his DB on a Remote MySQL Server which is configured within Plesk. The DB is several GB in Size.
Cust has Plesk Backup configured daily at 11pm.
Now the Problem is that the Plesk Backup of the DB is running at several hundred MB/s which is triggering our Bandwith Alerts daily ... as it's an unusual peak in Bandwith ... (which often indicates a hacked hosting)
Is there any possibility to limit the Backup Bandwith to let's say 100MB/s max?
thx, bye from Austria
Andreas
