• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 8.0 did get a more recent release of SpamAssassin. How well does SpamAssassin filter spam?

Are there better products available for Plesk/spam filtering?

I look for a solution where I can provide customers with 99,9% clean email. The false positive resultaat should be something like 1 : 1.000.000.

Is that possible?

hi,

SpamAssassin is not bad and you can train the filter, but there are also external solutions where several scanners and filters are being used.

Hi,

I use the Spam Gardian from www.4psa.com
Solution works like a winner! have been usning for 4 years now and i am totally satisfied.

give it a try!

Buy yourself a barracudanetworks.com spam firewall. Sell the service as a value added service to your current clients. It's awesome and will lower your load on your webservers. One of the best items we ever bought... well besides Plesk :)

Personally I am using an ART version of SpamAssassin with Qscand. This is configured to delete messages over a certain score and quarantine others. It integrates in with Plesk just fine as well.

I find that this solution blocks about 95% of my spam. The little amount that gets through I use sa-learn to modify the Boolean filters that SpamAssassin uses.

Can you let me know (of point me in the right direction) to setup quarantining with ART packages?

Thanks.
