  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Bind Error when starting. Cannot use DNS.

New Pleskian
I have a plesk server that runs of a subdomain, hosting.domain.com

I started to get the following error when starting named service.

zone hosting.domain.com/IN: NS 'ns.hosting.domain.com' has no address records (A or AAAA)
zone hosting.domain.com/IN: not loaded due to errors.
_default/hosting.domain.com/IN: bad zone

Any suggestion?

I don't know if my suggestion is good or not, but the option that I've been using when having this problem is simply to turn DNS off and then on again for the domain in question. It certainly seems to rebuild the required zone file correctly, at least for me :)

Why not if it helps? :)
