• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Bug fixes and workarounds ...

How does one get a workaround to a bug in plesk.

I have what appears to be a bug in plesk - it creates an invalid apache configuration file so that I cannot set the "DirectoryIndex" directive etc, yet if I try to make the change myself it keeps overwriting my change.

How does one get someone from parallels to tell me how to work around this problem?

I have a product to January 2012 for which I am paying £15 a month but apparently there is still no support, even for bugs.

Not really, the best you can do is enter in a support request or get whomever you lease your license from to do it on your behalf.

I had already tried that, and found that parallels said that I had to go to the people who sold me the software and the people who sold me the software said I had to go to parallels. After two hours of that I realised that support was not going to be forthcoming ...

However after many many hours wasted I have eventually found out for myself what I need

I wish i could tell you that it will be different - but welcome to Plesk & Parallels :)
