  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Bug in Plesk when downloading Backup?

Hello,

We are seeing very high load on some of our CentOS 5.5 x64 Plesk 9.5.1 servers. After investigation, we spotted the sw-cp-serverd process sometimes taking up as much as 1.5G memory. The server was swapping heavily and the system became unresponsive.
I believe this is a bug in Plesk. When a client tries to download a backup through Plesk, it seems Plesk is trying to load the whole backup file in memory before sending it to the client. We have a couple of domains that have backups that exceed 10G in size, loading the whole backup in memory is probably a very bad idea.

Regards,

Yes, it is known problem and developers are working on it. There are some internal architectural complexities, and they search for optimal way for fixing this problem.

I'm still having this problem in 9.5.2 (centos 64bit)

basically plesk dies when trying to download a backup... any workaround????

I'm having the exact same problem on 9.5.2 (centos 64bit)... still not fixed???

plesk dies on itself when trying to download a backup -_-'
