  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

CA certificate problem

Hi guys,

We tried to upload a new certifivate for our Plesk Windows server, the version is 7.5.4.

We have a problem at the CA certificate part, it generates a new rootchain.pem. However, it does not attach the path of rootchain.pem to the httpd.conf file. So, when we try to go to Control Panel from the browser, it gives an alert saying "Unable to verify the identity of the .......as a trusted site".

It never modifies htttpd.conf to attach the line that should say:
SSLCACertificateFile "conf/rootchain.pem"

Is it a bug? Does anybody else have the same problem? When we manually add the line to httpd.conf file the alert on the browser was gone.

Please advise.

Thanks,

certifiate and 7.5.4

Have the same problem here. We run on debian, so conf/rootchain.pem is not there, but I will post the solution as soon as I found it.

Strange that nobody else has this problem

UPDATE:
the line in the httpsd.conf and httpsd.conf.def file containing the rootchain.pem was commented by the upgrade from 7.5.3 to 7.5.4, I uncommented it and all was ok again. So it seems it is not the same problem, I didn't install a new certificate.
