  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi,

I have a domain named whose ftp username is pamir and mistakenly my host name is pamir too. Now i have problems wiht conflicts as it seems that the users are clashing. I tried to change the ftp username but got the following messages:

Error: Unable to update hosting preferences:
The following system user attributes were not changed:
login (Unable to get the user (pamir) home: (2221) The user name could not be found.)
passwd (Unable to get the user (pamir) home: (2221) The user name could not be found.)
home (Unable to get the user (pamir) home: (2221) The user name could not be found.)
quota (Unable to get the user (pamir) home: (2221) The user name could not be found.)

How to solve this?

Hi all,
Try the following:
Open Computer management console.
Go to "Local users and groups", open Users.
Open properties of user "pamir".
Open profile tab. In "Local path" field enter path to domain folder.
For example if %plesk_vhosts% folder is "C:\inetpub\vhosts\" and domain name is domain.com then path should be C:\inetpub\vhosts\domain.com
