• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Cannot get client passwords via API anymore ?

Mshaker

Basic Pleskian
Previously we use to sync plesk client passwords with our billing system using the plesk API. After upgrading to plesk 11.0.9 Update #41 the get client details method returns everything but the password. Also note that "Enhanced security mode" is NOT enabled for the server. Does anyone know how we can get client passwords from the API anymore ?

Yes, "password" field will be returned empty if not encrypted.
I don't think there is a way to change it.

What was the purpose of keeping Plesk passwords in your billing system? Transparent login? API?

Having the login details synced allows us to have only one login for our client area. After the user logs in to the client area they can "one click" to login to any of our plesk servers . Also because its linked directly in the client area the user doesn't have to know which plesk server they are on as we can redirect them and log them in automatically.

This is a real bummer as now we have no way to have everything synced.

Sergey, we need transparent login via our client area. Have Plesk some api call to get token (one time login link) for authentication?
