Question Change MySQL to MariaDB

How can I change from MySQL 5.6 to MariaDB 10?

My current configuration:

‪Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS‬
Plesk Onyx Version 17.0.17 Update #18

You can try to apply this solution https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/214528465 but note that it is for server without Plesk.

It is not recommended to perform these actions with installed Plesk.

May I ask why it is so important for you to have a mariadb on your server?

You are welcome to ask. MariaDB is / is probably efficient.

I think that migration to the new Plesk server with installed MariaDB would be better and easiest solution.
