  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Change Root Directory with Application installed

zapatista

New Pleskian
Hi,

I have the following problem:

I have installed wordpress through plesk in my [root]/wordpress directory. Inside the wordpress directory, there is an phpBB installation (not installed through Plesk). My though was to just put the phpBB-installation into the wordpress directory and to change the root afterwards. Now, I learned that you cannot change the root while an application is installed. My question now is if there is a way to get rid of the /wordpress/* in my sites URL. It causes some problems with TLS and links. It is not pretty as well. So in summary, my current url looks like this...

https://www.abc.com/wordpress/*
https://www.abc.com/wordpress/Forum

...and I would like to find a way to shorten the URL without moving/reinstalling the applications. I tried it with the htaccess-File but that didnt worked for me.

Can anybody help me with this?
