• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Input ColdFusion in Plesk Onyx

WaltRiceJr

New Pleskian
I had trouble finding information about this, so I'll post it here and hope it is useful.

(1) Plesk does not directly support ColdFusion in Onyx. So you won't be able to add datasources or control any CF functionality from the Plesk panel. (You will use the ColdFusion administrator for all these things.)

(2) There is, however, no reason you can't install ColdFusion on the same server and add it to your websites. Install Plesk first, then ColdFusion. When you have the option to install the connector, DO NOT INSTALL IT ON ALL WEB SITES. You have to install it individually on each website that needs ColdFusion.

(3) Plesk will regularly reset the permissions on your ColdFusion directory to lock it down, breaking ColdFusion functionality. You need to add a disk security policy to apply the correct permissions so it works.

See this post: https://talk.plesk.com/threads/plesk-config-to-leave-coldfusion-11-alone.332067/

Although there is no functionality in the Panel, it would be helpful for there to be a KB entry documenting how to use ColdFusion on the same server.
