  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Coldfusion integration

Muhammad UmarH

New Pleskian
Hi,

We recently installed plesk11.0.9 on windows server 2008. We are trying to integrate coldfusion 9 to plesk.
But we cant see coldfusion feature installed in the plesk 'install and update component' option. Has anyone
integrated coldfusion into plesk? Please advise.

Thanks

Yes, I just got it working this week, ColdFusion 9.0.2 and Plesk 11.0.9.

A couple of gotcha's:

- Install ColdFusion with IIS6 compatibility; it won't play nice with Plesk if you install it natively in IIS7, unfortunately.
- Make sure that you have ColdFusion up and running under the IIS default site "Default Web Site". This is the way Plesk intefaces with ColdFusion. Don't use a secure connection (https) to the ColdFusion administrator, or at least set up an unsecured one as well so Plesk can talk to it. You don't say much about your exact problem, but what you do say points to this issue.
- If you run a 64bit ColdFusion with Plesk you'll likely have some trouble. I wrote a thread about this week in this forum in the How to-section: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=262903.

Once you have it working, it works pretty well. But unfortunately Parallels stopped documenting their ColdFusion support as of Plesk 9.5.5. They also did not update Plesk to work natively with ColdFusion 9 under IIS7 or with ColdFusion 10 at all. Hopefully they'll give us ColdFusion people some love in the near future :)

Let me know if you still run into any issues, I spend days on figuring it all out and I'll be happy to help!

ISAPI Handler error for non-coldfusion sites running under plesk

Thanks muchly for your advise. I have read your thread and that absolutely works now.
But to add one more thing, we had another non-coldfusion site running on plesk which was throwing the ISAPI handler error.
We managed to get this fixed by adding another application pool on plesk under 'websites and domain' --. Advanced settings' for the other webiste and that absolutely works now. Cheers

Enabling Coldfusion Support

Thanks for the information so far. I got Coldfusion 9.0.1 installed with 11.0.9 on Win 2k8r2 and so far nothing seems broken, with IIS6 metabase compatibility enabled.

I added Coldfusion support to a test subscription, but when I try and access a test cfm file in the httpdocs directory of the new site, it looks for the file in c:\inetpub\vhosts\default\htdocs and fails, but for a static file, it finds it in the right place.

What's causing this to happen? How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance.
