  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Coming cloud backup

Franco

Regular Pleskian
Hi all,

I am interested in the new cloud backup feature which will be available with 17.8. I suppose it is not recommended to upgrade to the preview release for an operational environment. However, I would like to know what could be the potential risks and if it is possible to rollback in case of problems. What's the backup/restore procedure for plesk itself, pease? Currently on 17.5, latest RU.

Regards

Franco

I know that many people successfully use Plesk Preview version in the production. I also use one server for my personal needs.
I must say that the downgrade is not foreseen in Plesk. You can make a complete server dump with Plesk 17.5 using third-party solutions, and then restore it. Or wait until the beginning-middle of the spring 2018, when Plesk 17.8 will be officially released.
