• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Convert Customer to Reseller after migration has completed

BradleyP

New Pleskian
Dear All,

How do you convert a 'Customer' to 'Reseller' after migration has completed?

I know you get the option at the end of the migration but I did not take the right one - I now have a customer who needs to be a Reseller and wonder if this can be done.

Thanks
Brad

Check out the Plesk10-switching-administrator-guide.pdf

You can click your customer and there is a button across the top called Apply Transition Theme. You can then convert your customer to a reseller.

Hi,

Thanks for the post - much appreciated.

However, when I click on my customer this option does not exist anywhere on the page - that's why I am confused.

Hi ... still no solution?, some one has had some good luck with this?

Thanks,
Jorge.

It's very sad,

I would downgrade panel version, from this last update I am having lot of problems with my clients that haven't before.

:(

If you thought 10 was bad by itself, you should try using the billing system. I'll give you an example; php settings are overwritten any time a customer changes their plan, only way around that is to create a custom plan for every single customer. I'm ready to shoot myself.

good bug with permissions

Here is a good one: Make someone a reseller.. (Yeah thats hard in itself - you create a new user and transfer all subscriptions to the new user.)

Give him all the privileges so he can go and have fun.

Now ask him to change the expiration date or the quota of one of the domains.. "Permission denied".

:( Not fun..
