Courier-imap authentication type

How can I set up different authentication types than plain text in Courier-imap? SW-Soft has their own authentication module: authpsa. Can this module use DIGEST-MD5 or any other authetication types?

Did you ever figure this out?

cd /etc/courier-imap/

edit the following files:

imapd
imapd-ssl

pop3d
pop3d-ssl

You should also disable SSLv2.
