CRON is not executed (scheduled tasks)

plesk 11.5
centos 6

we set a couple of task with domain user but the cron is not executed.
we tried 2 kind of task to run every minute

/usr/bin/php /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/cron.php

and
mail -s "Hello" admin@domain.com

1) any idea why scheduled task are not executed?
2) where the tasks are written in filesystem from plesk ? /etc/....?

I restarted the services ...

# /etc/init.d/crond restart

and now works

No the cron executed only 1 time if restarted than nothing...

What does the cron.log show?

Did you try the path "/usr/bin/php5" and did you set the correct open_base directions in the domain-specific php.ini ?
