  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Custom Errors on a Virtual Directory

risede

Basic Pleskian
I am trying to setup custom error documents on a virtual directory.

For *most* of the error pages, I can set the error to one of the 3 options:
Default
File
URL

However, for 401.1-5, I only have the options: Default & File (not URL). Oddly, for 401.7, I have all 3 options again.

I have not done a FULL can of all options, but the 401.n error messages are the ones I want to change.

Any idea what's going on or how to fix it?

I have forwarded your question to developers. I will update this thread with their answer as soon as I receive it.

Problem is with IIS6+

From the book: IIS 6: The Complete Reference

SOME ERROR MESSAGES CAN'T BE MAPPED TO URLs

Some Error messages cannot be mapped to URLs, because if an error of this type exists, that URL might not exist either. The following error messages can't be assigned to URLs:

401;1, 401;2, 401;3, 401;4, 401;5, 407, 502

Now, I'm not quite sure of this logic, but if you actually go to IIS on the server, you will find this is the case as well (only Default & File) are options.

So, I think that this issue can be considered as resolved?
