  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Customizing the interface

Basic Pleskian
We are currently using Plesk 9 and it's fairly easy to remove/add features. We are looking into upgrading to plesk 11 but I'm having a harder time removing features.

Just to name a few:

I'd like to remove the "Whois information" and "Secure Your Sites" but it seems like to remove some things, you have to remove access to a bunch of different things. Also, I'd like it if admins couldn't change the system user ftp name. In plesk 9, the ftp user was shown but you couldn't edit it.

Thanks!

So I found the "-forbid-ftp-user-rename" server pref and that helps a ton. That was basically the show stopper for the upgrade but I'd still like to figure out the others.

Anyone have any info on this? It seems like to disable the "Secure You Sites" in the control panel, it disables a bunch of other feature we need.
