• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Dead after Restart

RobbieL

New Pleskian
I'm running a server via vm, and I was having issues with Plesk's update displaying a 'Cannot connect to backend' error. I read somewhere on the forums that I should restart the vm and then the problem will go away possibly.

I restarted it, and ever since haven't had any means of accessing my server except ssh. I've tried restarting multiple times and looking through error logs for any discernible trace of errors related to it not starting properly but can't find anything. Also tried running the bootstrapper with no luck. Running Plesk 10.1.1, on Redhat if that's any help at all.

It seems to restart fine, but when I log back in and check the running services, almost all of them are off, including httpd and mail-based services, and I can't restart any normally.

I'm waiting for my host to contact me but in the mean time I was hoping I could get some input here, as I've had a downed web-server all day.
