• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Im not quire sure how to proceed. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply IgorG. I took the instructions from http://kb.odin.com/3489 in my search to look for an install method that exploits Debian's package management. It is clearly dated for it references 9.5.3 rather than 10.

Newer versions of Plesk are present at http://autoinstall.plesk.com/ does Parallels support an install and updates via apt-get as suggested in the referenced knowledge base?

Regards, tom

I'm not sure that described in KB article method is actual for 10.x version. It is not described in Installation Guide at least.

Do I need to sign up for support to find out about a supported repo? We do not have an automation regime and I expect being able to use Debian's package manager will save us future maintenance overhead.

Thank you for the comments. Exim was not installed. Was because I have installed PSA using the one-click installer. The regular installer would not work past the "select version" perhaps is was my console, but the selection could not be made, even q for quit.

Now I am having troubles getting ruby and tomcat to work with PSA and am pretty bummed I couldn't use apt. If its the defoma recommends issue, the PSA installer worked around it or Debian would not be supported at all.

Parallels maintains a Debian installer, Debian packages, an apt repo. Why not support the install and maintenance via apt?
