  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Debian 6 upgrade and Plesk 10.2

Did you're install completly work under Debian 5.0.8 ? including the customer and business manager ?

If yes, I may try it for you on a vps. I interested to test a "all working" os for latest Plesk version (go trough a lot of problem with the latest plesk version under various os but didn't try debian 5 yet).

The update work smoothely. I only face a problem with the customer and business manager BUT I (and many others) got the same problem and I was trying to find a combination Plesk version / Os all the week-end and didn't find one. (I guess it's a problem in the latest build of Plesk Panel).

To be clear, for the upgrade I:
use those repo:
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ squeeze main
deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ squeeze main
deb http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main

apt-get update
apt-get install apt dpkg aptitude
apt-get dist-upgrade

and follow only default answer during the upgrade. That's mean a couple of package wasn't upgraded to latest version who I guess is the safest way to try it first.

After all, I wouldn't try this without backing up as much as possible (I would personnaly do a image from the hdd) before attempting that on a production server. Since I, and others plesk users, experiencing some majors problems with the latest autoinstaller build, keep in mind that's may be a big problem reinstalling a fully functionnal plesk if you encounter problems. (The major problem at this time is with the customer and business manager http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=109814 but if you don't use it, it's may be not a problem for you)
 
Any one has tried this? I am also interested to upgrade to Debian squeeze but need to know if Plesk will also update for the new OS
