Question Default home directory

When I setup a new domain, I would like to change the default behaviour of the home directory for the user created. I would like Plesk to omit the top level domain. For example, if I set up newdomain.com, it would create the user with home directory newdomain.com ... I would prefer if the home directory were created with newdomain only.

It's literally for three personal domains of my own and nothing more. Would never face that situation, and could easily revert back to default if so.

Could you describe in detail the problem that occurs during the default domain root directory location use? What is the negative impact of having .tld in the directory name?

There isn't a problem. It's just a preference. I've used WHM for a long time and this is my first time using Plesk instead. WHM defaulted to creating the directory based on the user of the domain instead of the domain itself (I used the domain name without the tld as the user).

That could be a feature request. I am seeing lots of customers here who were used to a different directory structure from their previous provider, and they start adding each new domain descending form the /httpdocs path instead of simply accepting what the server suggests. So maybe you can suggest a new feature on Plesk User Voice that a default pattern for the creation of new domains can be managed.
