• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Disconnection in 0 seconds when connecting to ssh as a non-root user

Yuki

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.50
I have a server that is managed by Plesk.

When I connect to it via SSH as root, it works fine.
However, when I create a new account and connect to SSH as a non-root user, I am forced to disconnect in 0 seconds.
The connection is established without any problem.

What settings are considered effective in such a case?
Please let me know if anyone can help.

The server information is as follows

OS: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Product: Plesk Obsidian 18.0.50 update #1, last updated on 2023/02/10 13:07

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry for the delay in confirming.

I would like to log in as a non-root user.

I am looking into the fact that the login is established and then immediately disconnected as if it is a security related issue.

Please let me know if you know of any other information.

I appreciate your support and I will keep you posted on my progress.
