  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue DNS changes are not loaded by bind

jmin

Basic Pleskian
Hello!

I'm facing this very strange issue, after making any change on domain DNS records I can verify changes on the zone file (/var/named/chroot/var/<domain>) but bind does not load them.

Instead, it got stuck with previous data.

Sync to slave DNS works OK.

I tested it with 2 domains, one gets updated but not the other.

Any help will be truly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jorge.

Hi jmin,

It would be great if you provide some additional details like
- How are you check that it stuck with previous data (and it is not some type of cache)?
- BIND/named logs from master DNS
- A part of Plesk logs with messages from Plesk when you change DNS records
- OS and Plesk versions
