  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

DNS question

This is probably more of a generic DNS question than a Plesk one. I am using ART's Automatic secondary DNS setup and something strange has started. If I run a reverse dns lookup through dnsstuff.com and it polls my secondary server first, it reports:

Asking ns2.domain.net. for xx.xxx.xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa PTR record:
ns2.domain.net [xxx.xxx.xxx.xx] says to go to A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET. (zone: (root))

which begins a bit of a loop when it polls ns2 again. Eventually it gives up and goes to ns1 where the correct data is displayed.

Any ideas guys?
