• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

DNS service in Corporate network

Hi all,

For my work im looking for a control pannel for webhosting on windows. So i ended up by Plesk;) We want to run in inside our intranetwork.

I'm trying to build a demo to see if this is fullfilling our needs. At the moment i'm stuck on the DNS and mail part.

As my company is quite big we will not get access to our main DNS system. The way we work now is to request a domain name <name>.sub1.domain.com (the sub1.domain.com is fixed, we can request <name>) And fill in the server where the domain has to point to. This works as far as i can test it now (working with a local VMware image).

The question is how to set up this in Plesk. We do not realy need the extra sub domains as mail.<name>.sub1.domain.com, if the services under that subdomain can be found with another URL.

If there is more information needed to answer this question please ask.

Thank you and greetings,

I think that Domain Aliases feature will help you with it.
