  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

DNS Zone Question

Hello, I'm playing with Plesk for the first time. I'm going over the DNS zone files for a server that has only 12 sites. I noticed what appears to be the zone file info located in /var/named/run-root/var. When I view one of those zone files, the nameserver info is different from what I see in the Plesk control panel for the same domain.

Anyone seen this behavior and know what the cause might be? I didn't set this server up, coming in after some other admin. Thanks.
