  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question DNSSEC won't work

daanse

Regular Pleskian
Hi,
i think i didn't understand it correctly.
How do i manage to use DNSSEC with external DNS / Domain Robot with DNS?
i installed tool, generated records via Plesk and set them to my Domain Robot.
But this fails all the Time saying:
"Inconsistent security for xxx.xx - DS found at parent, but no DNSKEY found at child."

I don't use Plesk internal DNS. probably i can turn it off anyways.

Does anyone has a tip for me?

You can not just copy dnssec to another server. If this was possible, then dnssec would be complete useless.

If you don't use the dns server for a domain, then its best to disable it. If you have the servers ip address or localhost in your /etc/hosts file, it could give false readings when the ip of a (sub)domain is changed in the real dns, but not in the plesk dns.

you can debug dnssec with this tool

Jan
