  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Docker: Environment Variables with "=" are not allowed - why?

Tim Weyand

New Pleskian
Hi,
i have a problem with an Docker Container. The Container has an Environment Variable which influence the runtime command. By Default in may be used unchanged or overwritten.

In Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 i have the problem, that there is:
  1. no way to keep the default value
  2. Plesk does not allow "=" in Environment Variables (XSS prevention?)
Is there anyway to use the Container, or do I have to rewrite it for Plesk? I tried escaping it already (screenshot)

Best,
Tim

Hi Igor,
nice Blogpost :) As I said I could rewrite the Dockerfile or for that instance use another Docker (for example: million12/varnish) container.

As I wanted to use a Docker, which we have in our Production Cluster - the Question remains how and if I can use "=" in Environment Variables or how I do not change the Default Variables given in a Dockerfile.
