• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Domain disabled

CraigD

New Pleskian
I have a domain that was disabled and I cannot re-enable it. The customer is enabled, under the subscription for the domain it states that it is 'Active' however when I look at the domain under 'Websites & Domains' it says it is 'Inactive'. When I select then select the domain from that page it says "Warning: This domain (website) was suspended by hosting provider." I have tried to disable and re-enable the domain on all the levels but nothing seems to work. How do I get the site back up?

Anyone got an answer on this - I have same problem - 10.3.1 / CentOS 5

Try this command , domain.com being the domain you are having trouble with.

C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\bin>domain.exe --on domain.com
SUCCESS: Changing status of domain 'domain.com' completed.

should be the same thing in Linux I think.

If you plesk admin login so do it via admin panel if not ask your hosting provider to enable it for you.
I already did it for my many clients.

Also check following point:
Check Subscriptions Renewal date in Customize button.

Client website went down today.

Received notice from client.
Pinging the domain name: unknown host.

Opened plesk panel.
Opened domain in control panel.
Site is listed as "Inactive".

Went back to subscriptions.
Opened hosting settings for this domain.

Expiration date is set to "Unlimited".
Changed this configuration and added a date in the future.
No change. Website is not active.

Opened up SSH to server.
Issued # /usr/local/psa/bin/domain --on domain.com
SUCCESS: Changing status of domain 'domain.com' completed.

Website is live.

History:
3 days prior: Upgrade from Plesk 10.4.4 to Plesk 11.0.9
Can't be sure if this was the problem.

Site Inactive@

So you have to also check backup process of this particular domain.
If the backup done with suspend domain until backup not done something like that.

This kind of thing only happen when backup process suspended all domains during backup process.

Will go through settings in Backup Manager to confirm that back up process does not suspend domains during backup process.
Thanks.
