  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Domain Restore won't work after upgrading to SP2

I have some backups created with Plesk before the SP2 upgrade. After the Upgrade the restore of these backups is not working and I am getting an error stating:

Failed to Load Resources from resource file. Please check your setup.

I have asked sw-soft for help in vain. I think that this is a bug.

You need to clear the client accounts, if they exist. Then run restore again

Thats the only way to successfully run the restore without getting the error, in my limited experience.

What do you mean clear client accounts? How to go about it?

Well, i assume that you upgraded your plesk server with all the client and domains still inside right?

Now, there are certain backups made before the upgrade that you want to restore.

I think you have to REMOVE the client accounts together with the domains, and then run the restore

But pls, do test this out on a test server, and make backups of the existing client/s .
