• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Domains with numeric characters are in slow motion

onlinesolutions

Basic Pleskian
Hi we are having a domain on a server that runs plesk 10.3.1 All domains running perfect, apart from one domain with a numeric letter in it. Since we did not find out what the problem is, we added another domain with a numeric character and guess what: this domain too is in slow motion (it takes about 30 seconds until the default page opens).

Is this some new feature or a bug?

Logs should be investigated at least. It is difficult to say something about described weird problem without any details, investigation, logs, steps-to-reproduce, etc.

There are no suspicious logs, but....

After extensive testing we found out the following: The domain did not resolve to the index file which in both cases was: index.html

We then disabled PHP scripts and re enabled them right thereafter. The problem disappeared. Again: This is a problem related only to domains where there is a numeric character in the domain.
