• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Email users unable to change email address

New Pleskian
We use Plesk Control Panel on a Linux box through MediaTemple.

I don't want to create a Plex username - our staff members should not have access to Plesk Control Panel at all. They do need an email address, however, and the webmail interface (Horde nor AtMail) doesn't allow for password changes.

At this point in time, I have change the password in Plesk Control Panel and then send users their password in plaintext. This is not acceptable, as now, I know all passwords for all email accounts. There is also no way to send an email to a user to have them reset their own password. This is a pretty standard feature on almost any password protected product out there (most products can have the user initiate the password reset email).

Our interface looks different. We're using Plesk 12.5.30 and our only option is Horde 5.2.6 (though in the Plesk Mail Settings tab, it says 6.2.9 for some reason).

Yeah, I do. Thanks! I clicked on the gear icon menu (for settings), and there's a menu item called 'Password' there. That 'Password' menu item does NOT take you to the page you just showed me. It should probably be removed so as to not create confusion?
